Traveling on the Island Roads and trails on the island are currently maintained to primitive standards and may be in hazardous condition due to washouts, fallen trees, etc. At this time, hikers and mountain bikers are allowed to use all open roads and trails unless otherwise signed, but be aware that you must share some of the roads with emergency and resident vehicle traffic. All visitors must use care. We do not transport visitor vehicles to the island. Travelers may choose to go about on foot, or use the ALTRAN Bus Service, which provices tours of the island. |
